Palayur Church, one of the oldest churches in India and it is acclaimed as one of the seven churches built by the Apostle St.Thomas. Situated in Thrissur district of Kerala, the Palayur Church is documented by the historians to have been built in the 52 AD and had seen several refurbishments till the 17th century. Through these times, the original altar, which was consecrated by St.Thomas is retained despite the vagaries over time.
